With our AdTracking system the composition
artists are able to access the Display Ad
Database. AdTracking "tracks" the path of an ad
from when it is entered until it is archived.
When a composition artist clicks the "Work On"
button, Quark Xpress is launched and a document
is created that is the exact size of the ad.
When the artist is finished with the ad, a PDF
file is automatically created and saved to a
file server. The location of the PDF and other
ad info is then passed to the AdDummy program.
AdDummy passes the ad info over to Quark where
the PDF of the ad is automatically imported and
placed in the correct location on the page. The
composition manager can run a report for any
given publication date which shows the status of
all ads booked to run in that edition. |
